The eibechs seem the drop the rear less (30mm) but on a chromie I understand the rear arches are higher. Do you think it would be a good idea to drop the front by 30mm and rear by 40mm to get a straight profile? Will this impact handling in a negative way? Everyday driver so has to be comfortable. T...

Re: Help! Rattling noise on idle
The sound is lower than the previous gearbox, but its still there. Not paying for yet more gearbox work, even if I have to seel it.
Its a 2 door coupe chormie with electric windows, sunroof and its black with leathers and perhaps I should just sell it.

I hope they give E30s the proper respect they deserve. Perhaps a special paying homage to the E30? I am sick of this classic car being ignored on the big stage.

Re: E30 video review on YouTube!
Well Done mate,
I already saw this review whilst randomly searching on Youtube around 6 weeks ago. Gald it was put up by a zoner.
I think we need a more detailed version though, going through everything.
Part 2?

Re: Help! Rattling noise on idle
If it were the clutch release bearing, it'd be noisy when yo put your foot on the clutch. It's not spinning at any other time. It's the layshaft bearing. The reason that changing the gearbox didn't fix it is that every BMW manual gearbox from the 1980s makes this noise. So what's the solution? Is t...

Help! Rattling noise on idle
Hi guys, After burning a massive hole in my pocket I am looking for some advice. I have an e30 chromie but it makes a rattling sound when idling. If you put the clutch down the noise goes away, if you rev it, the noise goes away. I have just replaced the gearbox as I thought that was causing the pro...

Nice car mate, don't drop it too much in my opinion, you need the 80s roll on it, otherwise it just looks like trying to be something it isn't IMO
