a very nice looking dark red e30 on alpina reps came past me today in ipswich

but didnt get the reg just wondered if he was a zoner then mark in his red e30 turbo drove past me on the a14 and then a 2 door red e30 auto parked next to me in sainsburys in colchester

thats a turbo timer its just a fancey bit of kit the jap boys use you dont need one it just saves you sitting in the car after a blast waiting for the turbo to winde down

iv got a intercooler some pipe work i have the oil feed and drain you dont need a turbo timer and can use standed management if you use a 5th injector and run low boost its when you want big power you need lots of £££ i turboed a axgti last year and its still going strong. i think i can do it

if i do it ill do it the cheep way! decom plate 5 injector ect

the 316i was 104 bhp but bare in mind your engine is 15 years old or so its proberly more like 90bhp now so a good 318i engine would make a big differance and i think its a strait swap??

i have a 316i and when i got my car it had a spare manifold in the boot i have my own welder (and i ant 2 bad with it) and a spare turbo unit in the shed :) now there no harm in trying right??? lol has it been done before on a 4 pot? please feel free to roll around on the floor laughing at this post...

im stuck on this can anyone confirm the bosh 0261200387 (green sticker) is the wrong ecu for my car ?

is it just a overflow pipe? if so dont think it goes into anything

i got 2 ecu with my car i have just opened one up and it has been chipped but the problem is its says m40b18 on the chip 1.8 my cars a 1990 316. both ecu have bosh 0261200387 on the outer case so are they both for the 1.8 engine?? just trying to wrk out why my car is over fueling thanks matt

im still trying to sort out the running probs with my e30 but i think im getting closer lol right i have been checking all the wireing today and have come across a new prob :( the crank senser has 3 wires going to the ecu 1 black 1 silver and 1 yellow now for some reason the yellow wire has been cut...

does it go very light at speed?

a trailing arm bush could couse the steering wheel to do that any knocking from the rear?

can bad cam wear be the cause of my car over fueling and back fireing? as i have changed every thing now and it still runs terrible. im thinking if its that worn the valves could be staying open to long hence the over fuel?? i the cam is badly worn and the followers are knocking im running out of id...

i have a 1990 316i and i cant get it to run right on start up it will hardly drive it jumps and backfires under 3000 rpm then clears abit then does it all the time when warmed up i think its over fueling but im running out of ideas what it can be. so far the fuel pumps been replaced the fuel pressur...
