Not entirely true: there was a full '02 convertible but they are very rare.Z3I wrote:They never looked right, we had to wait until the E30 full convertible to get what we wanted.

Big brake kit - recommend me a garage
I have a big brake kit (from Wally on e30zone) that I am looking to get fitted as I'm not very handy with the spanners! Can anyone recommend a garage in London that has experience of fitting e30 big brake kits?

Re: 16" Wheel Options
Genuine Hartge and Alpina wheels are popular, but not cheap as a 16" wheel for the E30. Hartges look the nuts, but you may need to scan German eBay for some within your price range. http://i964.photobucket.com/albums/ae130/PC7891/IMG_0476.jpg http://i964.photobucket.com/albums/ae130/PC7891/IMG_9962...

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm going to have a chat to the mechanic who fitted the chain (ex BMW technician) before trying anything to see what he says about the cam timing.

Hesitation/misfire on 318is
I'm wondering if you may be able to help... Since having the timing chain replaced on my car replaced (probably unrelated) my car has developed a problem. When on a light and steady throttle the ar hesitates and feels like it's misfiring. My first thought is to replace the plugs and HT leads, but I'...

Another vote for Kumho KU31s. I've had them on mine since I fitted the Hartges and they are a good tyre for the price with good dry/wet grip.

Nice work, really got a lot to do, there seems to be more rust on yours than on mine, which is a supprise, expecting a nice 5 figure bill from the garage for the rust repairs on mine. However the standard one from BMW is unbelievably expensive. I asked the other week and I think it came to nearly £700!
What about a Bosal system? http://www.leisureshack.co.uk/318iS-1-8 ... 11109.aspx

I really struggled to find anyone who stocks exhausts for my 318is and ended up going for a custom system. However I think Fritz's Bits stock stainless systems.

If you're worried about scratches, why not get the key parts of the car clear wrapped? It looks much better than a bonnet bra and probably works better too as there is no risk of it scratching the paintwork underneath.

Re: Electric window problems
Mine does something similar and is pretty tempremental. The problem seems to be the connectors that run through into the door. In the long term I reckon you need to change the problematic connectors. For now, try pushing on the rubber boot that runs through to the wings: I did this and my windows ha...

Z3 Steering Rack - Parts Needed?
I currently trying to build up all of the parts that I'll need for a Z3 steering rack conversion.
Does anyone have a list of the parts I need and where to get them (new pipes, UJs etc)?
I have looked on the wiki page and done a search but have come up with nothing helpful.
Cheers
