Re: Fuel pump cost

Hi, Ive done this job and its not hard to do but remember its petrol your playing with so no smoking. LOL :D and dont do it in the garage as the fumes do build up so out in the open air is best. There are different types of pumps (fuel returns) so you may need to have a look at it before you order i...

I had the same thing with my clutch, there was no fluid loss at all but the longer I kept my foot on the clutch the worse it got, so I changed the master/slave cylinders and all was well again.

Re:

Hi Firefly2005, I changed the blue sensor, rubber intake boot and cleaned out the ICV about 3 times but it still ran badly, so in the end i found a 318i in a breakers yard and had the ICV off that for £10, this did the trick and it ran like a dream after that. So the old ICV was as clean as a whis...

Gone but not forgotten

I sold my 318i a few months ago and im already missing it! ok it was under powered and unrefined and a bit tired but it was fun and it was reliable. I find myself watching out for e30s all the time when im driving, at the moment i drive a e34 525i which is in good condition etc so im not exactly slu...

Re: can i use this Fuel pump?

Cars now running again, i got yet another pump (three all told) and this one almost fits the housing, but it comes with a extra lenth of fuel hose and clips to modify it to fit. The fuel outlet on the new pump is about 20mm shorter than the original pump and the hose is to bridge the gap.

Re: can i use this Fuel pump?

If there are two types of housing then can i not just order the other type with the return on the pump housing? this seems a lot less hassel than changing a tank.

320i auto, will it be too slow???

Hi, at the moment i have a 318i which is not blisteringly quick i will admit but i may have a chance of a 320i auto 2-door with 84,000 miles on the clock, so will it be much better than the 318i or will the auto rob it of any power advantage, and apart from it being six cylinders should i just wait ...

Odd alloy wheels? Now with pics

I have a set of 14" x-spoke alloys, all the centre caps i have seen on other cars are push on or screw on, but mine have a bolt that goes through the cap and into the wheel, the bolt has three holes that are used to tighten them up, are these original?
