stays on constant. I have checked all 4 sensors and there giving a variable Ohm reading when the wheel is being spun. Its pre facelift so checked the fuse wire in the silver relay next to the ecu. I Broke A E30 that had a fully working ABS and kept all the bits from it.. so used the ECU of that and ...

Hi, ABS has never worked on my car since ownership, checked sensors and the relay, even swapped the ecu for a known working one. still not resolved. The Break pedal has always been hard to depress, much harder than other E30's that I have owned and reading on other forums this can be also be related...

I got extra air horns fitted to mine as i thought the original twin horns sounded a bit week. I did have a Dixie horn fitted on a previous car. :mad: was a good laff sounding it when over taking someone ( I Know Big kid ) winkeye

worst i had was in the winter on a strait duel carage must have hit black ice.... i just accelerated slowly lsd kicked in and sent me through a 360 still traveling forward at 50 mph :eek: I got the car strait but don't know who had the more shocked look on his face me or the guy following 8O

my 2:7 alpina has a 3.9 LSD accelerates like a scalsis cat 33mpg on a run 0-60 just under 6 seconds 1st gear is short but not 2 short. Leave it in 2nd in trafic

Thanks guys. It was only flaying for a matter of seconds. left the car there and got it towed 1/2 mile to the oldie's house. Prop was a tight fit when I pushed it back in. Only needed to replace 3 of the bolts as the other 3 were still intact (guess they did not undo these) 3 new bolts locktighted i...

thanks guys. Looks like I cant count then :) I cant gain access to the car again till the weekend as I had to leave it some ware when they failed. Think I worked out the cause. Had the rear sub frame replaced by a garage and they removed the prop so guess the bastards did not tighten them properly :...

I counted 4 bolts though a connecting peace from the prop on to an X shaped section gear box side?? all 4 bolts had sheared off?? . this is a tec1 sport based C2 2.7 so don't know if they were any different? don't think they are?

bolts sheard holding prop to gear box

Don't know how the hell this has happened But the 4 bolts gear box side have totally sheared in half leaving it spinning and clanging. Looked on oem site but couldn't find part numbers for the nut and bolt. Any ideas? and am I likely to find anything else fooked there when I start sorting it?

Hi,

Was just wondering if it was possible to bolt on a hi comp 885 head off a pre facelift on to a low comp bottom facelift end?

I remember reading that the pistons were different shapes? would that effect valve clearances?

Try the breather pipe running from the crank cover to the inlet manifold. I found the jubilee clip was not done up tight and was casing it run like yours.

Electric windows not working with ignition on?

Hi

My electric windows will work if a door is open but not if the ignition is on. Checked the fuse its fine. just replaced the whole door purple relay loom and its not that. It has a Bl/Wh wire and Re/Yl wire going to the accessory socket. Any ideas?

the disk needs to be made up I had an engineering company make the disk and spacers for me cost me £15. Try and find the zip file the full size picture's are in there along with a diagram of the disk with measurements. I found it using Google or someone on here may have a copy. Alternatively I think...

Job done thanks for advice did not have to undo anything in the sump as I lifted the engine on a jacking point. and unbolted the steering rack.

Oh and yes there was plenty of swearing :x

They only came in silver and gold. Try your local sign makers, take some photos along they may be able to make them up for you for a good price and fit them for you. Think I paid around £125 for mine fitted :)
