I have a 1989 E30 325i and want to fit a 2.5 turns lock to lock steering rack. It has been suggested that fitting a reconditioned manual rack and then fitting a 2.5 turns rack and pinion to the manual rack is the way to go.

Where can I get a 2.5 turns rack and pinion?

I have had two fibreglass M3 bumper spoilers - first one broke with a careless 3 point turn, the second by letting a mate drive my car - he spun her and recked the spoiler and buckled a wheel and made the steering rack a scary experience....

my power steering rack has had it too - and this is my second rack in 80,000 miles! - must be the -2 degrees camber I have! I am going for a manual 2.5 turns. GGSteel in Lincoln are doing the work this month sometime. they fit a quick rack into a manual rack then replace my power steering one for it...
