Can a zip in window be fitted into a non zip in roof?

Little question, calmed down after my rant last night.
Will Duck Tape damage the canvas on my hood if i use it to try and make it water proof until i get it repaired?

No cameras around, i've got footprints on bonnet, window screen, roof and boot!!!!
They'll not walk on the ground let alone over another car if i find out who they are!!

Bled radiator today, no air came out and heaters still the same.
So i guess its a new statt!
