Re: Scratched rubber bumper inserts

Cheers guys, I've done this job now. Removed front bumper disassemble not an easy process, then sand, fill, sand and paint with halfords black bumper paint. The results look really good.

I'll save my £250 for something else.

Thanks, its only from cold which makes me think its not the injectors, I've also put a few bottels of injector cleaning fluid through as advised by my BMW specialist garage.

TPS and from cold pick up

I have a very precise problem with my 1992 325i auto. Generally the car runs fine feels powerful and return OK mpg When cold the engine is hesitant on pick up for about a second as nothing happens. When the engine is warmed there are no problems. All the things listed below made only a slight differ...

Scratched rubber bumper inserts

I have been looking around but found no definitive answer. I have a late 325i painted plastic bumper with rubber inserts.

Over the years the corners have become scratched brick walls etc, does anyone know how to get rid of scratches in the rubber?

Tempted to try sanding them then cutting compound.

Quality pattern panels

I'm looking to repair my rusty rear wheel arches on my cab. I don't want to cut out and replace the whole rear panel but this is the only part available from BMW now. I could cut just the arch out and use that but it seems a waste and very costly. Has anyone found a good supplier of pattern panels f...

Re: Ripped and cracked leather seats - my fix

You will need the two basic kits from Furniture Clinic one with the colours and one with the filler. That said you may just need a pot of flexible filler and some of their black dye. Clean and lightly sand the leather (fine grade paper). Then apply the filler with a flat bladed plastic tool. Sand ba...

Ripped and cracked leather seats - my fix

Thought I'd do a quick post as with little effort it saved me allot of money. There are a few posts on the zone of guys using 'Furniture Clinic' products but generally the larger kits. They work really well. I used a couple of basic kits to repair and colour the leather, total cost £44 enough to do ...

Re: Leaky boot seal - help needed

Thanks for the quick reply, water comes in to the middle of the boot (I park on a slight hill). I can see where it comes in over the seal between seal and metal rear of the top boot seal. Odd one.

Leaky boot seal - help needed

I have a leaky boot, I know its a common problem but this may be a bit different. I know water is coming in past the boot seal, between the rubber and the boot lid. I have replaced with new BMW rubber but not change, the seal seems tight and I have adjusted the catch. Its not particularly rusty no h...
