E30 Zone

has your car been chipped? could be cause if so as these run badly with a chip that doesnt suit your ecu firmware.

mine seemed to make alot of difference after i chipped it, unless you but from evolve and speedtouch its hard to get a chip to suit the i.s though as theres 3 types of firm ware and its luck of the draw which 1 you have.

can anybody tell me the configuration for the two belts at the front of the m42. i think one goes on the water pump and the alternator then the crank then the other one on the crank and the power steering pump but im not sure???

have a look on the search theres a few things on there. off the top of my head usual e30 rust areas(as you'll probably know), service history etc i.e if highish miles chain replacement. proof of chain tensioner replacement as these are common faults and can cause big problems if not done but cheap a...

hi all i wondered if anybody on here new of a quiet/private area in leicestershire to do a bit of messing around without it costing a fortune?

so why was the lower comp engine brought in if there was no obvious advantages?

mine made that same noise same area it turned out to be where one the cam.

does a tech 1 need a different chip to a tech 2?
i no they have different ecu's but i dont no if the same chip can be used on either.

i have one of these chips on my i.s the power gains are good makes a very noticeable difference (more noticeable against a car you've tried it with before the chip rather than actually feeling it for me) but be wary as these cars are hard to chip. my car doesn't idle well at all, fine when driving b...

yer soon as it happened i re checked everything. springs and shocks, my bushes are really maybe ive desturbed something but not sure if that would make that sort of noise

never happened before though is this because of extra stress from the lowering?

ive lowered my car this weekend, everything seems ok but when turning my steering wheel quite car moving or stood it nocks? anyone no why? also it depending on which side it goes over a bump it pulls to that side?

yer ive tried resetting the ecu and have gone back to my original chip as it was just getting worse but its fine now so must be the chip

ok ive had my chip in over the weekend and its just got worse and worse on idle so im going to need another does anyone know who will provide the right one for my car if i give them the ecu and chip number. sure i read evolve do it but cant find a way of finding out.

right as for the windows there was a blown fuse so replaced that and it worked.... i wound down the window it went down half way and blew so im guessing theres something shorting out, in the door plug maybe?
