E30 Zone

my sierra managed 354k before it died, 280k ish on the 8 v twinky it came with, the rest with a 2.9 24v lump. the engine still lives on running about 220 horses through a rwd box, where in mine it was 4x4. the cologne 2.9 in the sierra was used to run the 4x4 system so horsepower wasn't that importa...

20" bmx size bike in the boot of an e46 touring??? only if its in bits

the e46 is quite small in comparison to an e39, prob smaller than the e30, if not it feels like it is.

popped in tonight had what i needed waiting, and even went exploring for a random item..

most evenings are good, busy for the next two weekends though

i'm in thatcham so location not really a worry..

midweek is fine evening ish as for weekends the next two are a bit busy but fine after..

well popped in anyway, greeted by lots of bikes and leather with a few cars out the back, just wish i remembered my camera-phone as some of the cars and bikes were truly works of art.....:) saw a red 2 door on the way there got a flash and returned it :) if it was you i was in the pinkish touring.. :)

i normally go with the sierra owners but they're not going this year....... it's quite good a relaxed show with a fairly good autojumble, tbh i can't remember much e30 bits but then again i wasn't looking at the time. i would be tempted to go in my e30 but it's not exactly in show condition...

road legal and daily driver....................

plug checked alls good..

had a poke around the leads , they are all around 4.8kohms give or take but i discovered that the new looking leads and diz cap are quite corroded so i'll cahnge them as a matter of course along with the rotor arm.... the plugs were replaced about a month ago... ta mick

no its not................... definately seems to be missing a couple of cylinders at least, its as though at least 2 cylinders are down maybe 3 it runs like a bag of poop,, after a while it gets a bit better but not much , thats why i was looking for the plug under the inlet..........

I spent quite some time trying the 'pump the throttle pedal 5 times' method to read my 325iSE's Motronic fault codes via the 'Check Engine' dashboard light, only to be advised by Brianmoooore that UK-spec cars aren't fitted with the lamp; it only applies to US spec cars - doh! thanks...........that...

mine seems to be painted in all of them............ lol

mine is used all the time, tbh with 245k on the clock its a bit used and abused but it has been a joy to drive , even with the bad weather. its not as tail happy as my sierra which is now off the road ,so the e30 will be the everyday car for a while longer until it is done then i'll swap them over.....
