hey m8 the wet on the passenger footwell is prob the heater matrix i had this problem and it went away once i changed the matrix..
dont know what the starting problem could be should be some one on here that knows

fuel level gauge problem
hey all im having problems whit my fuel gauge not working.. the touring failed its test on a fuel leak so i left it at a garage to get fixed but turned out the whole passenger side of the tank was rotten so they cut it in half as i cant find a tank and fit it in time for the test so now my fuel gaug...

yeah thats the one i have been under the car and got one of the bolts off but 2 of them dont have a nut on them its just round i try'ed vice grips but couldn't get a turn on it i was wondering if there was a way to take them off ill get a pic to show what i meen

yeah thats how ya do it m8 had the same prob when i got my rad fixed and changed my heater matrix
the lower hose is cold cuz of the air lock should heat up as the air leaves the system

hey m8 when i done my 2.5 conversion i had a 1.6 welded diff in it and it broke after a week do to bad welding done then i got a 1.8 diff and welded it i had no prob driving the car had the welded diff in the car for 10months whit daily driving the drive shafts will be 100% as they are all the same ...

im having a prob taking the rear seats out of my touring cant seem to find bolts

hey guys need some help my m8 has a 1990 325i sport he was running a 4.10 small case welded diff and has bought a S3.91 LSD out of a 325i it is quite larger then the 4.10 but it wont fit. when trying to fit it the drive shaft cups will line up and fit but the 4 main bolts wont line up at all has any...

well m8 forgot to say that there was 2 holes drilled in the thermostat so that if it did ever fail that i would get notice...i took it out to see if it was only half open but turned out it was gone... theres noting wrong whit running a m20 whit out one as my m8 that rebuilt his m20 has been running ...

hey guys since i dropped the 2.5 into my touring the gauge has all ways sat just above the blue so took the thermostat out and turned out it was stuck closed it must of been on its way out as it was working when i fitted it so now im running it whitout one and the gauge is still heating up just abov...

well brian i done what ya said and all is working i also had a look at the wee plate that connect them and it looks like it has alot off corrosion on it i going see if i can clean the contact's on the plate and see if it sorts it thanks for all your help

ahh got it so keep the black/green on the normal place and have a wire coming from the link terminal to the black/green i will do that first thing tomorrow then.....since thats just going be temporary id prob be best to get the starter recon ?

thanks m8 but have checked that might give it a clean tomorrow to make shore....
is there any thing other then the fuse and relay under the bonnet and starter that could stop them from working i had the clocks out too had change a bulb but checked and cant see any wires loose
