Re: heated seats

I recently retrofited heated seats into my cabby using the BMW loom and switches. If you encounter any problems give me a shout :D . The hardest part was running the cables under the carpet as it's not that flexible!

Rear end rubbing

Hi all, just had my 91 318i cabby back from the garage where it has had new springs and dampers (325i) all round + front roll bar bushes :D . It drives a lot better now, but one problem still persists - the rear wheels (especially the drivers side) rub on the rear arch if you either corner very shar...

Re: Help! Cabby roof stuck half open!

Thanks for that Johnt will need to move it manually if nothing else works. Strange it appears to have suddenly lost power. Does anybody know if there is a fuse hidden somewhere or of any other possible cause (battery was probuably disconnected when struts changed while roof was half open) :?

Help! Cabby roof stuck half open!

Hi all, my cabby (power hood) has been at a local garage getting new springs and shocks fitted. They raised the horseshoe and left the roof in the half open position to get at the rear strut tops. A few hours later when they went to raise the roof again....nothing. No clicking of relays or motor noi...

Re: 525i M20 into M40 cabby help!

Just thought, as a first timer would I be better off looking for a rotten 325i of similar age instead?

A friend has just replaced the worn out shocks and springs on my 91' 318i cabby with 325i items ready for a m20 conversion i was planning to do next winter. However, he has come accross a e34 525i with a good engine and box (m20) which has failed it's...

325i suspension

Hi all, got a 318i cabrio on a J plate and it needs new shocks and springs all round as well as new anti roll bar bushes and a new steering rack :( . Next year I'm planning a M20 conversion so my question is What parts are different between the two models? My car has discs all round and ABS. Is 325i...

This is my old moredoor. It had bk reps and a very tatty leather interior from a two door in there. It was rotten as a pear when I sold it two years ago for £700. When I bought it it was a Alpina C2 2.7 replica. I sold the genuine badges and dashboard plaque then took a few bits I wanted from it and...

Sump plug thread size on a M20 engine

Could someone please tell me the thread size of my 325i's sump plug so that I can get a oil temp sender unit adapter for it.

Who knew that fitting three gauges was so much hassle

Many thanks in advance, Iwan

Alloys advice

Hi all, I've gat a 87' 325ise that was lowered by around 30mm by the previous owner on a set of Pi springs. It currently sits on 17" wolfrace alloys with 205/40/ZR17 tyres. The rims are so badly curbed I will be buying a new set soon but I was wondering what you guys think - should I stay with the 1...

E30 faulty electric windows and central locking - rear doors

Hi guys, I've just bought a 1987 325ise 4 door. It is in very good condition except the electric windows and the central locking dont work on the rear doors. The electric windows seem to make a clicking sound when you push the button (and the switch is illuminated) but the windows dont move. The cen...
