maf260- up hill performance is affected as removing weight from the flywheel means less torque..

yeah i will do.. had a lightened flywheel before but hate it, due to being on a smaller engine. removed about 2 kg... hated it having no power up hill...

when looking up from the underside its the 2 bolts located up behind the flywheel...these look to be on contact with the flywheel... out it comes then!

tried looking on the wiki... i've fitted a m50 with a m20 flywheel and used a 318 is e30 box. seems i can't turn the engine over with no plugs in.. i', sure i read that with the combo i have i have to either lighten the fly wheel or cut down some bolts to stop them hitting the back of the fly wheel....

lift the engine... mine was lower than this.. use thick washers to lift the engine. i had some under both the mounting arm and the rubber mount. must of gained 15mm. doing this made the cross member the first thing that hit rather than the sump... i have a m10 sump with 10mm ally plate welded on the...

the red one..... hows it "m powered " looks more like someone gone to a lot of work to fit a s50 m cover on a m50/52... check out the inlets....

about to order my clutch for my conversion.
fitted the m20 flywheel. and using a e36 is box. so whats going to be the best clutch for it?

how to identify flywheel
problem i have is i've broken both a m20 and m10 engine in the past and have just found a flywheel with clutch. problem i have is i need a m20 flywheel and not sure if the one i have is from a m20 or m10( which i think i have) the fly wheel has no part number on.. i remember reading that for a m50 c...

i've got a weber on my 316 engine i'm removing... pm me with your offer mate... you can have the complete carb and inlet if your like.... i removed the nasty normal one and this made it feel so much better to drive and faster i'm sure...going 24v route so need it going.... last one on ebay sold for ...

yeah dude i know that, i have the wheels from my old sport, just can't decide weather to do the conversion or not. got complete e36 front legs at home also , but e36 evo legs don't come cheap... have been tempted to put the legs on and get them to sit correctly.... lol those wheels are currently bei...

prob get 10mm in i'd of thought...depending on mounts...look to see what threads poking out the bottom, or undo the night until its just got full thread poking through the nut and measure the gap! neither of mine hit the underside of bonnet....
