well i was meant to be taking the sport for it's MOT today. but that never happened, mainly because as i left the petrol station near me the steering felt a little "odd" pulled round the corner & when i got out i found that the front passenger wheel was missing a stud & nut & 2 others had come so lo...

Avoid using carbide bits with a hand held drill as they are very brittle.
A normal HSS bit will be fine just keep the revs down and use some WD 40.

well it looks like i'll be (trying to) drill it out. after using nearly a can & a half of gas & getting the bolt nice & cherry red it still wouldn't budge. so time to find the right size hard carbide drill bit & go at it again. tiger sealing the new sensor in is looking very tempting. Be careful ho...

but, i do have a 50W soldering iron, as i saw on the repair shop show (don't ask....) & one of them used the same thing to free off a rusted in bolt on a bit they were working on, would a soldering iron heat up a 6mm bolt enough to break the bond the rust has made? has anyone tried this method befo...

when i did mine i replaced all the coolant hoses in the engine bay with a complete silicone hose set & brand new clips all round, cost me a fair bit but been spot on since.

whenever i've had to replace any rubber boots in that area i've used the poly one's as they are a lot stronger & don't wear out as easy.

i measure the bottom ring & the top one & use circlips to hold them in place.

no worries,

remote buying (buying blind in essence) is a bit sketchy,

fingers crossed it's just the pics that make it look bad,
but it does look like it could be the basis of a decent project & wouldn't need too much doing to it.
