Re: e39 headlights

you need adapters to make the sidelights/halos work and also adapters for the indicators although the indicators can be done DIY if you get the bulb holders with the new light units and just wire them up to the exiting loom you can get the adapters from ECP............. http://www.eurocarparts.com/s...

if you really get stuck its no real hard ship to pop the rubber seal on the front or rear screen and the whole window will just lift out

Before anyone moans about telling people how to break in to a car, its not exactly a quick procedure so cant see a thief using this method.

yes on all counts, IIRC its the sill that's longer on cabby wings and even OE wings have an extended piece spot welded to a normal E30 wing.

It can be done with sheet metal if the guy doing it has good skills

Re: Advice..Selling a Nissan Patrol-knackered dual mass flyw

Jesus that was sad to read. Pac, a fair test would be to say find out how much each patrol sells for and take a mean average. Then repeat once the fabled plate change comes in and see what happens. Your little book isn't much reference to the real world here. Semi off topic, but is that you in your...

That is why you asked here for a valuation on a B5 ........ Some things cannot be learned from a book, the motor trade is one of them. I like asking questions, to keep learning; people with big egos might not want to look unsure. Besides that was a specialist car with high miles better to get an ex...

One thing did break the other day actually although not electrical related the inner D/S door handle snapped off in my hand but easy fix and both dealer and used part prices seem very fair.

What are these alloys worth? Staggered M Double spoke OEM

I have these wheels which I will be selling soon but not sure what they are worth. I believe they are from a E36 M3 Evo and are called M Double spokes and possibly forged, they are also staggered. I may be wrong but I didn't think any E30's came with factory remote central locking so its probably a faulty after market part

Put a pic up of your central locking fob, I'm guessing its not OE.

If its not OE your best bet would be to rip it all out and get a new system
