Re: What arb kit

All the above made decent products. I wouldn't worry about which brand, It's the diameter of the bar that's more important as is, in my opinion adjustability.

I run the Eibach bars FWIW. Very happy win 'em.

Re: Propshaft vibration?

That's top advice mate, thanks! I didn't do the job but I'll be getting the coupling replaced mow anyway so I'll make sure the centre bearing is pre-loaded. I didn't know about that. Dumb question but I'm guessing that all props have alignment dots and that it's standard practice to make sure it's p...

Re: Propshaft vibration?

Interesting. Ive just had the centre bearing replaced and now have a slight vibration. The centre bearing had completely broken up offering little if any support. Is it possible for the prop the be thrown out of balance or does this sound like another worn coupling? The vibration really is doing my ...

TF = Touristenfahrten or Tourist Laps. Not the same as a trackday. Everyone will have a 'target' in mind due to bloody Clarkson poncing round in that Jag and all the manufacturers hype about lap times. Thanks for that. I bought the unit some time ago from a long term BMW enthusiast and the engine was from one of his two current E30 M3's. None at all mate. Put them on mine a while ago, big difference. More castor means better turn in and feels less vague at speed. No difference in comfort to the standard ones.

Win win situation. :D

The Powerflex ones will be less harsh. The Yellow ones have a spherical bearing in the middle - basically solid, competition units.

Why not put std M3 bushes in?

I've recently used a set of Avon ZZR's and found them to be very good both on and off circuit. You would need to use 215/40 17 though as they dont do a 205 in 17".

I'd stick with 15's personally. The most you'll ever need to spend per tyre will be £100 MAX. If you liked the Potenzas why not give them another go? You say the car had 55 profiles out the back and 50's on the front - were the widths the same (ie: 205 f+r)? Did you lower the car and do the bushes e...

For fast road/occasional track use Ferodo DS2500's get my vote. Not too bad from cold, great when warm on the road and will take quite a bit of punishment on track before needing a rest. Oh, and they last really well too! Great all round pad IMO- fit and forget.

I had a 1 Series for 4 years and can confirm that it was awful in the snow/ice. Tried to use the iS this time round but with new, fairly firm springs/da...
