Re: 6.5 inch speakers

well now, i've just completed 2 years 3 months of debt payment - so am now debt free. (aside from mortgages) this means that i have finally left my southsea life in the past and can look forward from here on in. i did manage to restore an escort van along the way last summer and so at least have a '...

Re: 6.5 inch speakers

what holes do you already have in the shell simon? it's true that 6.5s will give more mid-bass kick (than 5 1/4s) but if you have that kick (and sound stage / imaging etc.) from a good front installation then the back is mainly for rear fill. 6.5s can be mounted underneath a 5 1/4 cut out to save cu...

if you possibly can then a 4 channel amplifier will make a massive difference and you'll not regret fitting it i promise. something like this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Alpine-V12-MRV-F305-Amplifier-Car-Audio-2-3-4-Channel-Used-In-Box-/170985039522?pt=UK_In_Car_Technology&hash=item27cf80a6a2 won't b...

why not put the 2.8 from the silver non-mover into the c2 and break the rest of the z3 over the winter? this should / may raise enough money for the c2 unit re-build and puts the c2 back on the road in the mean time.

Re: recommend me an amp plz

with all respect to rish318i it's no good recommending one manufacturer and stating that they are the best amps ever. all manufacturers have good and bad amps in their ranges and amps sound different to different ears. in my opinion rockford fosgate stuff usually sounds a bit harsh when pushed and i...

Re: The original ICE article.

your answer is in the guide: "Now fix the build to the door card using several screws. Now mount the door card to the door and drill through the build base, door card and inner door skin and either bolt or screw the whole thing home, this should then be very solid indeed." screwing / bolting the bui...

if you consider and honestly believe that at the end of the day you'll end up with a world class c2 (engine included) then all that has happened is just a necessary part of the process, valve and piston meetings included. therefore there's no need to be toooo down about it all, it's just grief that ...

there's 8awg to the amps from the battery. there's a 40 amp fuse at the battery and each amp has a 20 amp fuse to protect it. 4 awg fits under the loom clips alongside the loom on the drivers side sill of the e30 should you wish to use it. it doesn't show and causes no issues with carpet lumps or an...

Re: hartge amp project

plan was to mount one amp each side on the inner wings at the rear, having stripped it down however i think on the rear bulkhead is a better idea. they fit better there and the weight is more central - mass centralisation and all that. a 12" sub fits each side where the amps were to go... http://hom...

daz i did shelf cutting and everything else on mine so here's some thoughts: shelf strength comes from the 2 bars that run across the shelf from rear window to seat back and the previous owner hasn't hacked away at them so the rest of the metal can go without worry. cut and sleep easy. 8 inch and 6x...

Re: converting vga to rca?

that's mot what i meant - see

http://www.computercasesandcables.com/ccc/CV-25120.html

that should get your picture out. the laptop headphone socket should be 3.5mm stereo jack - so a lead that goes from this to 2 rca males will give you audio out. jobs a goodun.
