Re:

Looks like a fun event. How much are entry fees?

That video is painful to watch. Made me feel a bit sick.

Infuriating missfire

How do. My 318iS is being a bugger. It developed a slight misfire a few weeks ago. Its gradually got slghtly worse. This occurs almost all the time except when absolutely cold. After 1 minute of driving it kicks in. On very very light throttle it doesn't happen but as soon as a bit of right foot get...

318is running bad and Air Flow Meter Part Number?

How do all, My 318is is currently running like a 3 legged pig. Its fine when absolutely cold but as soon as it warms up a bit it seems to be misfiring. Doesn't really matter what revs its at or throttle position. It had new plugs and air filter a couple of weeks ago and was fine until a few days ago...

Should this be in there?

Replaced my air filter just now an upon opening the filter housing I found this hollow plastic tube (3 inches diameter open at both ends) sat vertically in the bottom. What's all that about then? Should it be there or has it worked its way loose from the pipes that lead to the airbox? http://i126.ph...

318iS Spark Plug Tightness and Pipe Replacement

How do, Just about to service my 318is and was wondering how crucial is it to torque the plugs up the correct amount. Obviously i don't want to strip the threads but what are the consequences of them being a bit looser than recommended? I also want to replace this hose. http://i126.photobucket.com/a...

My new MIMs on my old decrepid 318is

Got these wheels off Templ8e30 (cheers Iain :D ). Ideally could do with a refurb but then they'd look out of place on what is, to be fair to it, a bit of a dog of a car :( . Eventually will get them done along with the dozens of other jobs that need doing but not sure whether to go with black spokes...

Bolton Abbey could be a possibility but I think you'd have to pay to park. If you're going as far as the Snake Pass there are plenty of other great roads not too much further. Cat and Fiddle, A54 etc Another option could be say Donington or Croft when there's some racing on. Would be about a tenner ...

Question for Kumho BMW racers

Hi guys Do you lot still run with the DL1 data loggers? If so how do you mount them in the cars? The reason I'm asking is because I do the data analysis for the TVR Challenge and we had a lot of issues this weekend at Brands. One possible reason was too much vibration knocking the GPS lock out so I'...

Re: E30 Ride quality?

I noticed last night after driving "a little quickly" around town that the suspension is a lot more supple when given some load to deal with, giving less crashing over the same bits of road if you "commit a little more" Anyone else noticed this? Just trying to figure it out :? By driving a bit fast...

The one with least grip basically. Round a bend the inside wheel will spin because of the weight transfer. In a straight line either could lose traction first. Depends on road surface, tyre condition, if rik waller's driving

I had a similar problem on mine but it didn't matter how much throttle I had on. Turned out to be a dodgy fuel pump.
