I didn't get my own car til I paid for it myself. £600 for a Primera eGT and it did 138mph... sexy! Course, this was in 2006 odd, and i'd been driving a sodding auto pug 206 for the time being

Re: If your E30 is also your daily...
Mine was daily, and would most likely have been again in summer, but in the winter, although she starts and runs and gets me up the M1 n back if needed, I still don't trust her all the time due to dodgy central locking... Too much has gone wrong before for me to risk it n leave me stranded in the co...

The 1.8 had an oil pump failure which wasn't noted by the previous owner, and Spadge fitted the 2.5 lump with gearbox, clutch, exhaust etc. It was cheaper than a rebuild by a lonnng shot, and I am still undecided whether keeping the 1.8 would have been wiser than hearing the gorgeous sound of the s...

Lol! I see no sense in that! If the zone chipped in it would be better to put that toward fixing the BMW than buying and insuring another car... I don't care how much she costs in fuel and insurance, I just want her to be perfect! ;) But nice thought! Well, this is why I think I wanna get rid. i nee...

Funnily enough, the car I'm missing after all this malarkey is my 1992 P10 Primera eGT... It was big n cheap and jus getting fixed right when some fool hit it and wrote it off... I was SO gutted.

I need to take her for one last blast on a country road, but, I think I'm done. I love the drive... I love the way she feels around corners... I love the sound she makes from her 6 cylinder goodness... I love the 318is written on the number plate, pre conversion. I love the M-Tech, the tech 2 steeri...

Moral of the story, from what I've read, is there's no point informing the DVLA if, for example, I owned a 318is which had an M20 2.5 swapped in. Is this the correct conclusion most people seem to have?
In any case, it all seems like more hassle than it's worth.

That's all it is... I always cornered quicker in my FWD cars but that's because the back end was less likely to come out... I am not ready to take the E30 round corners too quick yet because I haven't learnt it fully... I need trackdays asap.

To be fair, messages are fine as long as you have the go to match the show...

My (late) mate's dad has an S600 AMG... got like 2mpg... ate tyres like crazy... £100 of fuel (2-3 years ago) got him nowhere... since then LPG converted and disabled some cylinders... 0-60 in 4.6 all gone
6 litre V12 gone to waste!
