Re: E30's all over.
I was in East London over the weekend and I've never seen such a large concentration of e30s, some really nice ones too, no doubt a few of these boys. I was inconspicuous in my new e34 though.

Re: Thinking Of selling
I got a lovely 318IS converted malachite green touring, 80k no rust whatsoever, shiny as a new penny, comfort leather. Just in case you decide to stick with the e30s.

I will do, but it's raining like crazy here right now, all in good time. It's malachite green metallic, beige leather. Paintwork is superb.

Price opinions for my FSH rustless 318IS converted touring
What does everyone think? I'm going back to five series and screw the fuel bills, so selling up my e30. Just quickly: Bought from your classic retiree, FSH, thousands spent in its lifetime. lowered (shocks and spring) 318IS conversion from a 100k miler with history, from spadge, supposedly the best ...

Re: Another drivers footwell leak thread...
Gentlemen, As usual, thanks for your absolutely belter advice. I traced the hacky water ingress to the hole in the firewall that had been drilled for the AC pipes (factory fitted, ha). Damn daylight coming through there once the carpets were peeled back. The car spent the afternoon idling with the h...

Another drivers footwell leak thread...
Hi guys, Okay water in the drivers footwell, noticed when attempting to dry the car out after a valet. There's a lot! If I press the carpet down it squishes out of a circular hole (capped but it comes through around the cap) below the footwell beneath the car. STILL getting water after rain, after t...

Re: Just got some 16" wheels, think they have the wrong
Thanks for all the replies gents. I can't understand why one of the tyre measurements they put on the side isn't the overall diameter, but hey. Well that's going to make my MPG calculations all the more difficult isn't it. Bah, will have to find something else to do on a saturday evening. So the the...

Re: Just got some 16" wheels, think they have the wrong
"Think about it, your old wheels were smaller but had a taller tyre wall, your new wheels are 1 inch larger and the tyres are 15mm smaller tyre wall!" Umm, I'm confused, I thought the '40' number was not mm, but a percentage of the width of the tyre? Thanks guys, tyre sizes annoy me. Overall the new...

Just got some 16" wheels, think they have the wrong tyr
Just got some pretty nice dishy alloys (apparently BMW, don't know what they're from- will post pics eventually), 16s, bought them on ebay from a guy who was apparently going to put them on an e30. They tyres are 215 40s, they're brand new eagle F1s! Got the wheels and tyres for 200 quid, which is a...

Sorry for the double post, this is an emergency! I need to get in touch with JimtheJunior as a matter of urgency- I'm supposed to be going to pick up his IS engine and bits from him him this afternoon, but I've idiotically gone and lost his postcode. Re: New member from Newcastle, new Touring, new questions
Yes, I'm afraid you are hanging up on the gas point here. The gas i deal with is more like, get your house warm, have nice bath sort of gas I'm afraid. And while that involves engines of sorts, unless someone's done an E30 Baxi conversion I'm afraid I'm of no use. LPG is interesting though isn't it?...

Hi everyone. Thanks for responding so quick. Alburglar: Yeah the mileage is genuine- have plenty of service history to back that up. New member from Newcastle, new Touring, new questions
Hi there, I've been snooping around your site for a while now, had a long love affair with E34s, and a keen interest in E30s (with little active involvement), but rising petrol costs (I'm a self employed gas engineer using my 525 for work- youch) have made two fewer cylinders considerably more attra...

yeah these old 2.0 jetronics are only like 125bhp or something, so stepping up to a motronic 2.5 with a chip or summink would definitely make a difference. Thanks for the advice! Anyone know any basic mods for squeezing a bit more out of these old 2 liters?

Hi there. Well, I may moving down in the world (wink), from e34s to a nice old 320i. Hopefully firming up the sale today and maybe picking up on the weekend if all goes to plan. Christ, that's great. I'm new here, but I immediately found your cars (actually saw pics on united bimmer first and then hunted here).
