E30 Zone

Hi cars may not be to everyones taste (Mostly like mine) but any man who can build his own cars and do the fabrications etc like he does has 100% of my respect

225/35 will give you a hint of stretch, but still cover the rims nicely.

We obviously an e46 is a lot heavier than an e30 but e36's are too! The point I was trying to make was that e46's are closer to e36's that e36's are to e30's. I'm fortunate to have all 3 and i have to admit the E36 is a lovely car and cheap as chips these days which is not always good, because now ...

Is there any reason to buy an E36 328i over an E46? I ask because I've seen both on sale recently for £2k-ish, am a bit tempted and, all other things being equal, would probably take the E46 just because it's a bit newer. (An E36 328i touring might hit the spot though...) To be honest a E46 for £2k...

You will defo need arches chopped for anything that size. I guess a lot would depend on the cost too. The whole point of building rims to specific sizes is why split rims were made so if its expensive i'd just go and get some split rims. My ACS Type 1's were 17x9j front and 17x10j rear and Dips made them17x11j fronts and 17x12j rears by changing the dishes...

Dont waste your time. By the time you finish it would have cost you as much as a real M3, except it wont be and all Fibre Glass crack over time if you use the car regularly.

This is an old age debate and has been running on the Zone from the Old Zone days! I guess it all boils down to whether you think bubble or full leather trim and a couple of other extra bits makes a car special enough to command a massive premium! Arches would definitely have to be rolled. They look like 9 at the front and 9.5 at the back. I'd be very surprised if they were 11's. I don't think they'd fit without "tubbing" the rear end!
