bizarrely my horn still works, thats why i thought it had to be something else..... would the after market alarm have bypassed the horn when fitted, to use its own?

i'm pretty sure this fell off my car today. i heard a rattling and pulled over and found this a few feet away, and the rattling had stopped. i thought it was my horn, but that still works http://i758.photobucket.com/albums/xx228/swiffer88/IMAG0013.jpg http://i758.photobucket.com/albums/xx228/swiffer...

Re: i think i may have found alpina treasure, but need advis

Wheels are original zender I believe, they have zender on both the rim and the caps, but I've never seen wheels as badly curbed as these. One is dented, it is the back wheel on the photo of the car, you can just about make it out..... Thanks for the feedback, I was hoping it would turn out to be a 2...

Re: i think i may have found alpina treasure, but need advis

originally i could only find the number on the head which started 12788. i looked this up and it seems it was a2.7, but now i've found the engine number that seems to say 2.3, if my understanding is correct? it may not even be an alpina engine, just have some alpina bits bolted on.... i think the 'c...

Re: i think i may have found alpina treasure, but need advis

even if it is a pina lump its on early engine management so its probably only a 2.3 or 2.5 i think that the engine is from a much newer E30 alpina. engine number implies 2.3, but the part number on the head implies 2.7, so i'm still a bit lost..... would a 2.3 alpina lump be worth saving over, say ...

i think i may have found alpina treasure, but need advice

Hi folks, i've been offered this wreck. the story goes that it is a zender on a b plate, that blew the engine way back when and has had that engine replaced with an alpina engine the car hasn't run in 6 years and is basically scrap, but the alpina engine, box and LSD has got to be worth saving if it...

thanks for all your responses, seems like a common problem.

the guy in the bodyshop has agreed to have another look at it in a few weeks and see what he can do. i'll let you know if he comes up with any genius solutions.

thanks

thanks. i was fairly sure the bumper was genunie. i but i don't know what bumper slides were fitted, as they were replaced with the respray, and the old ones were no good, so if it is an issue with the slides then i can take it back to the bodyshop.... don't really want to take it back and kick up a...

Issues fitting M-Tech 2 rear bumper to pre face lift cabby

Best place to find a new roof for cabby????

As the weather sets in my battered old roof is finally giving up, and i'm starting to get puddles on my seats :( so need to get a new one fitted asap, and i was wondering were the other cabby owners in the zone go to?? the only thing i care about really is that it is new, i will (try to) fit, or pay...
