Yeh, it will be a shame to see it go, but this is far more entertaining for me at the moment, soon to be 500bhp too:

Re:
Well this car has been sat outside the house after the water pump failure. The pump has been swapped for a new replacement and the valve timing has been redone. But I have lost all motivation for it now what with having a new R32 Skyline drift car to play with. I may well pop up a proper for sale th...

Re:
It works but not fantastically.. it now needs some mapping adjustments and it has some timing issues, other than that I need to sort out the rear tyre rubbing on the arches and need to finally get around to fitting the power steering. The water pump has broken so I need to swap that out for a new on...

Re:
Murran, yeh I'll have it down at Brawdy, hopefully I'll be able to get it running half decent by the end of the day on Saturday so that I can give it a bit of a thrashing. All I have left to do now is finish the exhaust (silencer will be here Friday afternoon... eek), I need to seam seal the left re...

Re:
Update then I decided to take the rear end out because the subframe bushes were shot to pieces. I had a nightmare with the bush centres corroding and attaching themselves to the studs so they had to be cut and drilled out. http://img526.imageshack.us/img526/8683/dsc00205hq2.jpg I stripped the rear e...

Re:
Fancy seeing you here! haha Not sure where to get a holset from, not really looked into it that much yet. I saw one go on ebay a while back for £240 or so. The MS cost me ~£370 I think, can't remember now. There's probably another £100's worth of wiring, connectors and wasted spark stuff added to th...

Re:
The universal joints are just the standard E30 ones. The only mod I've done to the column is where the rubber coupling once was. I cut that out, then bored out the nylon bush in the top section so that the spigot in the bottom section would slide further inside it then cut the end off the spigot bef...

Re:
The brake lines are completely redone throughout the car, none of them are standard BMW items. In the engine bay I remade the lines out of coppernickel pipe and fitted 10mm bulkhead fittings on each inner wing and one on the bulkhead for the hydraulic handbrake. I've used Goodridge e30 braided brake...

Re:
Well its just that the dizzy was pretty much worn beyond its working range so it was just worth bringing the engine more up to date with a wasted spark system to get a more consistant spark across all six cylinders, especially with the later turbo addition.

Re:
Its the rear turrets that need strengthening if you fit coilover rear shocks. I've just got the original arrangement of seperate shock and coil on the rear, just using a 6" coilover spring instead of the twin cone style standard spring. My rear turrets are however strengthened but not at the top whi...

I'm a CG Artist by trade, I create car meshes for use in racing games.. bit of a departure from building real cars. just read the DW thread, well worth a look for those of you that haven't yet. There's a whole lot more to the car build than whats on Driftworks. I've kept the build photos to a minimum on there and just posted the more obvious changes. I've got a whole load more than whats on there but I've only u...

 you've done the coilovers? Yeh, I made the front coilovers myself using some Bilstein B6 shocks, 51mm front strut tubes and a 2" Ford Escort coilover kit from RallyDesign. Its a simple case of cutting off the standard spring platform and brake hose bracket, cleaning up the surface of the tub...

Yes, its to be my multipurpose track car next year. It's going to get a custom weld in rollcage sometime this winter and a Holset HX50 or HX40 turbo. I'm hoping to do some sprints, hillclimbs and drift events with it next year.stevotheevo wrote:i like it, track/drift car im guessing.

A handful of people will know of this car but I'm posting it up now as its nearing completion.
