golden rule is to check everywhere for rust..... walk away then come back later and check again...

With my new Keskins i had to have a 5mm spacer on the front wheels, but as they were only universal ones they were not quite a good fit and rubbed very slightly on the brake pads,,, anyway i decided to get some Hub centric just for peace of mind if anything else... with my current suspension dominat...

theres a chap just down the road from me, who as what i believe to be a sport in dolphin grey, ive seen him with it for years, it always stood out as looking really nice, but now every time i see it, it seems to look worse.... totally neglecting it, rust appearing, unfixed broken number plate for mo...

Maj-Power i hope this thread as got no chance of being locked, and thats from someone who a while back got unfavourable comments about my own car..... i asked for an opinion, on what is an open forum for anyone to say what they think without incrimination, but i jumped in straight the way with the s...

anything that takes more than 5 mins to fix, or involves getting dirty, take to the garage.............

that was me for 25 years.... now at 42 (and with help from the zone for a good few months) im actually tackling jobs myself...

im upto at least 30 minute jobs now

they look wicked mate, glad ur liking them :thumb: they really set the motor off, The spacers are fun to use aint they :lol: just a bit yeah.... first attempts kept on hitting the pads, bit of patience and a couple of calming stella's sorted it in the end...... though think the kids have picked up ...

went cannock earlier... 100mile round trip, was on exactly 1/4 tank when i put £20 in, looks like its 1/4 tank now im back (maybe a minute fraction over) cost me £1.193 litre.... so assuming i spent exactly £20 for the 100 miles what return is that? on the way there, went A47 then A5 so slower traff...

Brought some wheels off him, and must say they look brilliant, more than happy...

im off to look at a 318 tommorrow for my other half.... (finally persuaded her to have an E30) she has'nt passed her test yet but that will give me time to sort out any minor problems with a cheap car.... its only £400 so im not expecting the world, but any hints on what to look out for would be app...

if i checked how many mpg i get out of my car, i'd probably sell it and buy a push bike...

ive got Eibach Srings on B8 Bilsteins with Eibach ARB, also a Sparco Brace front and rear with rouge engineering rear top mounts. all this was put on at the same time and it totally transformed the car..... like big_jof said though, just be aware of the new set up, i caught myself going round corner...

im going to get a new headlining and the black bit where the sun visors attach to, as mine are a bit naff.. can you tell me how i go about removing this, and all the sunroof as im getting a new one of them aswell.. is it an easy job to take off then put all the new stuff on? or am i taking to much on
