E30 316i touring.

I know Adi from a couple of years back, where I bought various parts from him, he was always reasonable and a pleasure to deal with. Now I have brought his Touring for my wife, I am glad to say he is an honest and good hearted man, highly recommended. Thanks again Adi.

Thanks for the info, i must learn how to do the cross reference thing :o: As you've probably gathered, the rad is leaking on my "IS Touring", what i hadn't realised is that the expansion tank is detachable, I still have the rad from it's days as a 316i and the part numbers for the expansion tank are...

Viscous fan problem.

Can anyone explain to me in simple terms how these work? My I.S. engine is getting very hot in traffic, i have done the rolled up newspaper test and even when the engine is hot, i.e. 3/4 of the way up the gauge, i can still stop the fan easily. I have tried 3 other 2nd hand one's and they are all th...

Yep, got a 316i touring converted to 318is touring. I probably do at least 500 miles per week in it for work and 50-100 miles at weekends. I love the car, perfomance and economy.

I change the oil and filter according to service lights and it's very reliable. :D

Windscreen wiper problems.

The wipers on my touring are causing me grief, they don't park in the right place anymore, if you have them on intermitant they jump up the screen a few inches at a time :x

I have replaced the motor and tried two different relays, please advise what the problem might be?

Re: E28 M535 HARTGE (86)?

IF the car was 4 grand then yes you 'might' still have a look around (for rust), but a 535i with a head and manifold and wheels is far from a Hartge! A On the HPI check, there is no mention of Hartge, it's listed as M535i, so are you saying that it is not a genuine Hartge either. I am not at all fa...
