has it worked previosly in your ownership? if not somebody could have tried winding the miles back and dislodged something, a mate bought an instrument cluster off ebay and had the same problem, after inspection it was clear the clocks had been tampered with

I was having a problem with the instrument cluster which after reading this post led me to believe the battery bourd was dead, the symptoms were:- 1. ABS light not coming on when ignition in position 1 2. SI board showing inspection and all 5 lights on 3. Temp gauge stuck at full as soon as ignition...

I dont think it should effect the rev counter, could be wrong, but it will definatley effect your temp gauge and service lights

Beg to differ if you have a look at the parts catalogue pic from oze30 it shows the correct configuration, if you put the locking plate on last I would be interested to know how you get it back off? the way it works is the three intentations sit inside the three groves in the drive flange and the nu...

Hi Fuzzy

The grinding is not affected by cornering and also just dissapears after 20mph, thats whats making me thing its not a bearing, as they do generally get louder and louder the faster you go

The nut goes straight onto the shaft (no washer) then the hub nut is tightened. The locking washer goes on last and is hammered over the nut with the 30mm socket.
