Your last picture is same as how mine is wired, with the little wire all on its own doing nothing, i thought about it but never changed it and its been like that for 12 months with no problem, somebody must know what the wire is for

Seat wiring
Two questions on one subject, heated seat wiring loom and switches are they still available and if so how much for a full set? many thanks.

but this guy supplied me with a power rack,its fitted and working perfect, i agree with pete27577 "a credit to the zone"

Ok couldn't resist had a tinker checked out injector loom plug thats ok both sides, checked temp senders ok,started to clutch at straws leant on AFM and it stopped hunting inspection revealed big split in hose, temp repair to last until morning car now ticks over steady at indicated 750rpm, then eng...

Post engine swap woes
Just swaped out M20B20 for M20B25 changed gearbox and all required bits, what a difference in driving car feels alive now not strangled, but after first start didn't want to tickover that has now cleared and ticks over at an indicated 500rpm and now it hunts revs don't change just the sound and smel...

After i removed the K+N it just wouldn't tickover so i raised it via the screw and now it somtimes does the up and down thing but normally settles has just passed an emmisions test for MOT, tried removing and checking connectors to throttle switch and when i removed the plug on the idle valve it mad...

Just taken a K+N off mine and replaced with a proper air box had to turn tickover up to keep it running or have i missed something

Anybody know what this parts for?. Stripping a car for usefull parts and came across this bolted to the front of the passenger wing behind headlights.

Ok i'll take a good look at the looms under the bonnet, inside the car they look like an extra loom but there is a big mess of wires at the bulkhead that are gonna take some untangling. but will it be a worthwhile project or alot of effort for little return. The ABS comes from a 1988 325ise

If thats the case that idea belongs on the shelf along with all the parts, would you know if the fitting of the rest of the brakes is gonna cause problems ie sensor holes etc and will my 320 master cylinder cope

ABS ??
I have brought a 325se for spares its to far gone to save but has full ABS system is this a worthwhile upgrade to retro fit to my 320i i am fitting the rest of the braking system and running gear, i know the benefits of ABS but hassle vs improvement is it worth it

Same here i thought i had a noisy tappet turned out to be broken studs on number 1 exhaust manifold causing it to blow until warm looking forward to fixing that

Shaprid, does your gearbox seem to stop half way through the gear shifts before engaging each gear properly? Only pauses for a second before it falls into gear. This is what i meant by notchy. It still drives fine but its bloody annoying :mad: Feels like the gearshift will need to be forced in gear...

Not meaning to butt in but! my 320 also suffers for same sort of problem only difference is you can feel the pedal pulsing under foot and push clutch pedal all the way down and you hear a loud knocking noise half way down no noise, can the stroke of pedal to release arm be altered seems like its mov...

I had one slap up the windscreen once on a Mk1 capri very scary dont want to repeat in a hurry! i for one glad they the wrong way, peace of mind is worth a lot, or maybe i'm just slowing down

Don't have any problems in or out of any other gear hot or cold just last inch of travel into top left corner feels as if gearstick can only just reach

Difficult to move the lever last inch or so, not a problem coming out and into second, lever does seem to be biased to left hand side and very close to surround when in gear
