Re: e36 rack conversion pipe ??

would be so amazing of you could buy an off the shelf kit for the m20 and m5x Agreed. I have a E36 rack and the only thing stopping me fit it is the pipes, if someone just did a "kit" with both pipes to fit and E36 rack to an E30 with M20 engine for £60 like some have paid I'd order it and slap it ...

E36 top mounts on E30....

Are these interchangable. Mate has a set of adjustable E36 topmounts wondered if they'd fit my E30.

Thanks.

Re: *URGENT* E36 Rack, Powersteering pipes...

Well im thinking for the MOT ill remove the belt and drain the fluid and run it as a manual rack so it gives me time to fit the '36 rack properly.

Just means poverty steering for a week or so lol.

Still gotta figure out too why my brake pedal is sticking down and not returning back up :-x

*URGENT* E36 Rack, Powersteering pipes...

What sizes/fittings/length of pipe do I need to fit an E36 rack to my E30. All I can find is that you need some making up... Surely someone must know the length and the size of fittings...? Wanna fit mine tomorrow and just goto Pirtek (open till 12pm) and say I need X pipe making up thank you please.

Does anywhere stock M3 LCA powerflex bushes?!?!

Stealers now want as near as dammit £80 for a pair of M3 Eccentric LCA bushes, so thought i'd go for polybush instead. Now is powerflex the only people who make them?

Tried a couple of places and they all say 2-4 week wait, I need them this week (MOT a week tomorrow...)

Price Please

I am looking for a price for the brake pedal return spring which is in the passenger footwell.

When I depress the pedal the brakes work, but the pedal does not return to its original position.

Thanks,

Bryce

I havent removed the spring, just wondering if that is indeed the cause of the pedal not coming back up after pressing it.

I had a look on realoem but couldnt find which part number it was :(

Re: M20B25 Engine weight

Its engine, manifolds and starter. No box, so be about 150kg then, cool means can get the 227 kg engine stand aswell when I start the rebuild. Any good engineering places in the midlands for honing and lighten and balancing? CotswoldBMW? You'll have to excuse my silly questions, tis my first BMW use...

I tried this earlier to no avail.

But when I read it it just said pin 7 and 19 iirc nothing about a "good earth"

So I connected them together with some wire and turned ignition on but did sweet FA lol, so I need to splice into the jumper and ground the lot?

Re: New E30 owner. Brake problem

Ok thanks. I think it's more than just bleeding because you press the brakes and they bring you to a stop. If u keep your foot down on the pedal the brakes stop working and you have to reapply them or use the handbrake.

It's a 1988 F reg 320i saloon.

New E30 owner. Brake problem

Hi everyone, just bought myself an E30 320i, love it but it has a very bad brake problem. If you "drag" the brakes upto traffic lights or roundabouts they don't work but if you push hard on the pedal they work properly. The guy I bought it from said its the master cylinder? Just wondering is this tr...
