Can the engines be run without aircon and pas on a modified loom? Looking at images of the motor with all ancillaries it will never fit unless space framing the front end.
It may well work with a modified sump and run the water pump and alternator only.

I am going to measure the frame rails to check clearance but mounting a bit further back in the chassis isn't totally out of the question. If you can get an LS in there, pretty sure a straight 6 will go in

Hi Dan, litterally have a feed from the ignition switch and to the starter motor
Sounds like a plan, can the ecu be mounted in the engine bay or best to have it int the cabin?

Many thanks, Brian. Just to be clear this isn't going in an e30- Triumph GT6, so engine wiring is going to be pretty critical. Ideally on a cost basis keeping the standard ecu will be beneficial so having a stand alone (standard) ecu will be excellent. Just need to get the body off and start choping...

Hi all, considering using the 328i motor from an e36 into a classic car & wanted to know if anyone can help out with basic dimensions - front pulley to leading edge of bell housing - bell housing to end of gearbox - gear lever point- from rear of engine most importantly is the height- I am very rest...

There was a case in plymouth where they hid a van up on a bank to the right of the road, not visible from 60 metres. any one have one for rear parcel shelf speakers... The stealership is a nightmare, depending who I speak to in parts they are available or they have never been fitted to an e30? :x I have heard they were after market fitmant by the dealers and they do still have them in stock-in Germany. anyone shed...

True, but the beemers dont have a coolant header tank, or self levelling suspension header tank...they have to go somewhere The rest on the right is all MFI w@nk, could have done a better job on the inlet side of things in all honesty...so much spent in development of the chassis, the engine develop...

I could'nt really care less whose is faster, I went from a phase 3 gti-6 back to an e30 because its so much cooler to drive around in, I like people looking at the car-its a talking point....That NEVER happened in my poojoe. Anyway, I think this new breed of 200hp Hot hatches would walk on a standar...

He lost the back end at speed and hit the nearest tree. It was scrapped after all the good bits were robbed from it. I miss it alot, I had the oportunity to buy another one but turned it down in favour of the IS as its cheaped on parts :D The down pipe for it was £350+VAT then theres the cam sproc...
