how do i go about changing these,ive looked under the car and it looks like i have to do a bit of ripping??

Hi, I've noticed there is a leak coming from the gaitors of my steering rack,i top the resevoir up now and again,is there anything i can do to stop the leak? can i replace the seals??

what seems to be the problem with my 316i,she's lowered 40 mm and is waring tyres on the insides of each tyre??

well she seems ok again, needle seems to stay below the halfway mark so im happy with that

my 316i is overheating while driving on the open road and in traffic,it just goes over the half way mark on the temp gauge but im afraid to drive it on long journeys just incase i do damage what do i need to get to stop this from happening?viscous coupling maybe??

she seems fine now over the past 24hrs temp gauge is below half,blowing out hot air,do i still need to change viscous coupling?she did seem to use alot of water but now is fine,so wat was the problem,cos alll i did was fill up expansion tank and primed top hose

yes tried bleeding from the bleed screw and nothing came out the nut was completely dry

i need to change one of my fog lamps,do i need to take off the front valance and bumper or can i take it out an easier way?what are the two screws on the lens for?

ok then that solves that then,so new pump should see it working

just put new rack (second hand) into 316i m40 and have no power steering,is my pump knackered as it was run as good as dry for 6 months??

I have 316i and want to fit obc,i took out analogue clock and cant seem to find the green plug that goes into the back of it,i only have the 13 button,is there more to fitting?or are they compatible with 316's

should i just get a second cluster see if that works

i have a 316i and only the left rear fog light works,the rear right wont light, ive checked the bulb,fuse and still no go,any ideas??

Hi Guys, My 316i M40 doesn't seem to rev properly,when driving she only revs to 4000rpm and when i wait a few seconds she lets go and revs out fully,im thinking its camshaft wear or tappets as she does sound loud when ticking over,also when the car is in Neutral she revs fine,Any suggestions??

it lines up to the subframe holes,but isn't thick enough,also when in place the steering barrel with the splines is too long to connect,the part no. of replacement rack is 051257 1092

i have a '90 316i and the steering rack seals are gone,so i purchased a second hand rack from a '89 318i and it wont fit,what seems to be the problem here as i thought 316 and 318 racks are the same!!!???
