325i centre secion and exhaust on a 318is will it lose power
Hey guys,
Just looking for some info. Will I lose power if I put a 325i stainless centre section (dual pipes from downpipe) and backbox on to a 318is?

Re:
I think i would like the booot ones but not the bonnet. I think they are mainly a cosmetic mod as the aerodynamic improvement would probably be very negligable at road speeds. How did the M3 vent that hot air out?

temps might go up on a 6 cylinder but they were designed for 4 cylinder cars right? the airflow pattern under the bonnet is totally different.

spend the money changing bushes and bearings throughout the drivetrain so you dont lose as much power. That would probably be better spent.

Re: Handling off balance - H&R roll bars?
nice and precise description shorty73 :) That sounds like quite a straight forward book. Another thing I noticed was that BMracing was commenting on the car being very hairy in the wet and when he tried to trail brake. I always thought that the point of trail braking was to lose the backend a little.

Re: Handling off balance - H&R roll bars?
what speeds are you driving at? Does your car have an interior, cage, what wheels? what suspension do you have?
Generally it sounds like your shocks are worn.

Re: DIY Coilovers
I wanted to weld mounting points to my front struts so that I can have the M3 ARB drop links, but i was advised not to do this because it would be an MOT faliure. Would that be true?

M40 and M42 Fuel economy
Hey guys, I was having a debate with some mates about which is more economic the M40 or the M42 and we need a second opinion to clear up a small issue.
Anyone know how many miles you can get out of an M40 and an M42 with a full tank of fuel?
