Just dome this conversion.. Took me 2 days all in all.... Only thing left now is to do the Exhaust! :-x Good thread! Helped me anyway :wink: Had to also change the ARB on mine.. Thought id mention it incase anyone else has the same thing, then engine sat on the old one... The 328 one is much lower.

moved it as far foward as i could!
But its not preloaded just in the position its sits at.

Right, Fitted prop after changing diff to large case, slacked off the bolts that hold the center bearing and the large one so the prop length can change. When i let it sit natuarally there is no adjustment to push it foward to preload it as it is already at the end of the slider before pushing it fo...

I was gonna block the bit on the throttle body not the pipeSPADGE wrote:Do not block it off whatever you do!
You fuel tank will not be able to breath and will apparently suck itself inside out

Blocked the throttle body and vented the other bit out the back!

On the throttle body, there is a pipe going to the carbon filter, do i block it up or put a filter on it?

Right i have the pipe which goes from the rear (near tank) to the carbon filter thingy under the bonnet. and 1 pipe from this out to vent and 1 to the THROTTLE BODY.
Ive removed it all, so should i block the pipe going in(or out) of the throttle body or leave it open

Its actually for an E36 compact with the M42 engine
