hi i have a problem with my horn. When i first had to remove the steering wheel from my e30 i somehow managed to lose that little carbon brush that sits in the sring! has anyone one got any ideas of what i can replace this with. would a smaller bit of any old metal do the trick? or does bmw sell the...

If the three wires are on the battery + terminal, then it sounds like the battery neg isn't being earthed. If you look in the top of the fusebox, you will see a hex headed bolt in a recessed hole. I'm in bristol mate, but i'll spend i a load of time having a look tommorow so i shouldnt have to waste anyone elses time. i am an (domestic) electricain by trade so i should be able to figure it out in the end....hopefully!

you tried using a jump lead straight off the earth of the battery to the engine to see if you get anything that way ? also double check all the positive conections also make sure all the plugs ectra are connected along the side of the bulk head Yeh just tried this and still getting nothin. i'll av ...

hi, just performed an engine swap on my 318is went to start him up but got bugger all, no lights, no noises juist a whole lot of nothing! tried a battery which i know has charge and that didnt work. my hunch is its a missing earth somewhere but the only ones i can think of are the one on the drivers...

throttle cable swap??

alright then, i'm in the process of swapping engines round on my 318is at the moment. problem being i aint got a throttle cable on the new engine. So obviously i wanted to just put existing one on new engine. but so far cant figure out how to completely remove it from the throttle body. Both engines...

Hi i was about to go ahead and replace the clutch on my 318is but i havn't got the right socket bit to take the pressure plate off! anyone got any ideas to which size bit i need?? it's one of these star shaped socket bits just dunno what size is needed..

yeh, got it from the breakers FAB. If it looks like too much of a pig to fit then i'll give them a ring soon as. hopefully they'll have an e30 one kickin about.
