Has anyone tried the BMW stripes on the rocker cover or anything except black. My mate just done the rocker cover and inlet manifold black. Id love to see it done in the BMW M stripes!

Yeh and lovin it!! wouldnt drive anythin else! although lads i duno about the newer bmw's..... i think from the E36 they launched it at people with less money, they got cheaper,,,,, makes you wonder about the car parts! I duno how do people feel on this? Im not talking about all bmw's but newer ones...

Bump!! need help!! :mad: Red wire to the aerial comes from the top left pin of the accessories socket, next to the radio socket. The white wire from the aerial goes to the ISO connector. right. well i tested the amp line coming out of the radio and the blue wire, (youll see it cut) and there was nothing. how did you know which one had 12 V dc? im still totally unclear! I know the motor works i tested it. 1) red goes to the red on the motor and also the accessories power supply above the glove compartment, TO WHERE I DO NOT KNOW, there is no Z slot, they are numbered 1-30, corresponding to fuses I assume, so i tested outlet 28 and there is...

ok, is the ISO connector the one on the stereo??? Do i have one of those? I honestly dont know even with the pictures above. Secondly where is the MAP SWIITCH on the ISO connector??? And thirdly when you say aerial power cable do you mean green or red????

The red wire should come from pin Z (top left) of the accessories socket, via fuse 28, and the white wire should normally go to the radio. There are 2 boxes in Picture 1, is it the one on the left? and the top left outlet??? are we sure on this? Now that its located does it look any different Brian...

Ok, Found the problem, the red and white power supply was cut up under the glove box, next question is Red goes into the power accessories outlet, but where? Worked a charm!!! previous muppet had that black connected into the side bracket, to be fair there was a screw in place originally for that,....... either way time to check the wiring now that the motor is 100%

The black was connected to the chassis of the car so thats why i was guessing its earth. How will i test the antenna outside of the car??? IE what will act as a trigger? When I connected the red of antenna to positive of battery and the green of antenna to negative of battery all i got was a buzzing...

Yep brian, i kinda have an idea where the red is going but ive no clue where exactly the white will plug into. looking at past threads it says the ISO connector, is it fairly straight forward where the white connects in on the ISO connector??

I had exactly the same problem. just had it repaired, the following was needed,

anti-roll link arms
bushings
steering joint assay, the rubber cup may be worn down feeling a shimmy in the wheel

well theres no light coming on, and i think theres no engine problems.....only thing is its drinking petrol which i was largely putting down to other things.
do you think this needs replaced?

Hey, Found one of the wires burnt and now corroded, duno what it does Picture 1 shows the wire damage, minimal Picture 2 shows the sensor it leads to (I dont know what this sensor is) Any cause for concern? hey brian thanks for that. There are no flat spots, and no problem with acceleration. the only issue is fuel consumption is high. The temp gauge sat to just barely below 1/2 or mid-way where it always sits when even on long drives! Damn, what else could be causing the high fuel consump????? So far t...
