Doing a conversion in my 318i touring to a 2.5 m20 it's a early engine wanted know what rad I can use that's a top fill to keep the bay clean from coolant bottles [/list]

I have just recently converted a BMW e30 m10 from carb to injection so changed the whole engine to m10 1.8i I have got car running but on tick over it's idling rough any ideas what it can be

Hi there all I have just done a engine swap on my e30 from a 318i to a m20 325i got it up and running out of a running car but the cars not running right misfire slightly but on inspection I have seen number 2 plug ain't sparking what can it be I have put a new lead on makes no difference. Any ideas...

Hi there all I am converting my j reg coupe a m40 318i to a m20 325i I need to know is it a straight plug and play or will I need to alter a few wires I.e the c101 plug

its only had the rear bumper painted don't this its had battery neg removed tho. once I got it out it started then ran a few mins but lumpy then died. ive tried a few times now and nothing but have also looked at the pipe work and nothing

Hi there all I've just picked one of my e30s up from the Bodyshop today gone to the car to stay and it just won't had it run for a few secs that's all then it died, it's turns fine there's spark and fuels getting through too. Could it be injectors or loom or does anyone else have a clue plz

Hi there all bit of a sticky one but here goes I'm converting my chromie to 2.5 m20 from a 1.6 but want the engine be clean and tidy don't really want any bottles on sides, so wanted use a different radiator with collany bottle attached if possible, which rad is best to use for this look?

Design the engine had a part loom on it but cut, the injectors ain't straight plus it was a wire loom that was on then unlike the later loom which has the caseing on it

Does not fit the injectors

Just need to find out which ecu to use and wiring loom

What cars it out of ? Year etc as I've tried to connect a late loom to injectors and it's not the same. A spec on engine would be good

Right the head has the following numbers

The bottom end has the following numbers

There is a green/Blk wire it's the car side on the plug and when I've earthed that there's no difference

Just tried it no joy

Nothing it is empty the car loom side it's a green and black wire

How do I have to wire the starter then, the top of the starter has 2 thin wires and the bottom a thick one, fuse is ok and mirrors don't work

So you saying a relay needs replacing? If so where is it located thanks

Jus done a m50 conversion to a e30 320i 1991 it's up and running but the electric windows don't work, they only wok when you open the doors fully and ideas to what needs doing

who fitted it ? this isn't a way out if you say bmw o the engine was fitted by porsche dealers winkeye Name of mechanic please, an acquaintance races in the Porsche CC and has his pal who just happens to be an owner of a dealership dealer as his spanner man, so spill the dealers name or fitter and ...
