Re: Oil Leak from the the oil cooler take off
Thats all the parts that I recieved from BMW also! it did the trick on mine! Plug first then circlip, its also sprung from inside, so takes a bit of pressure on that plug thing to allow the circlip to fit. I did however get a lot of oil down my arm as I did it in the car park in my lunch break ...

Re: My LPG install thread ;)
Its interesting to read the last few posts and see people having similar problems to myself! When I first set used my LPG on the 325i I had not connected the O2 sensor or the TPS and it actually ran fine, I then connected the TPS the next day and it would run ok, but stall every time I pulled up and...

Re: An LPG wiring question
A VERY valid point!!
I had been led to believe that condensation would form on the bare metal walls of a tank and then contaminate the fuel?
Also of course if you run very low on fuel there is the risk of sucking any general debris from the bottom of the tank into the fuel system.

Re: RE: car going to be stood for six months.
I read a lot about car storage for putting my e34 M5 away, and surprisingly they recommend NOT allowing the vehicle to idle when you first start it! this is because the oil pump is not working at sufficient pressure to feed the top of the engine when its idling. The recomendation was to vary the rev...

Re: An LPG wiring question
I have my fuel just over a quarter, but i am a little concerned about getting condensation in the tank? as I always kept it full on petrol.
I have already put in a subtle switch to disable the fuel pump! I did that some months ago after some scumbags tried to steal my car unsuccessfully!

Re: An LPG wiring question
Its Absolutely Awesome!!!!! :D I havent stopped smiling yet! I used to have a range rover that my dad had converted when LPG first came out and he gave it to me (it was getting on a bit then) and even that was cheaper to run than my 2.2 Honda. There is something about fitting it yourself (for...

Also................. having connected up all the wires for the LPG ECU I have found that I do not know where to connect the Orange wire from the ECU which I believe is for temperature?
does it go to the blue or brown sensor? and if so which colour wire?
Thanks!

Re: An LPG wiring question
Oh, Ok! I cant see where it goes as it disappears into the black loom stuff, but now you say that I can see another thin red/white going to the fuel pump relay which must be the other end. If thats the case I need to cut the thick red/white and join its ends to my yellows on the lpg ecu. Can you rec...

An LPG wiring question
After reading as many LPG install threads as possible, I recently embarked upon my own installation 8O on my '88 325i Touring. All is as expected fairly straightforward. The problem I currently have is this..... on the main white DME relay, according to all the threads ive read i need to intercept t...

Re:
I've just changed the rubber gaskets which seal the plastic vents (hidden behind the bumper on each side just behind the rear wheels) as both were split and were allowing a surprising ammount of water into my touring. This finally sorted the problem! although I suspect some of the other parts change...

Re: LPG fitting, How to/(do I need to?) flare the 6mm pipe?
Excellent! Thanks Brian!! I was a little unsure as the old pipe has an olive one end, male (the vapouriser valve end) and its a flare inside a female thread at the tank end.

LPG fitting, How to/(do I need to?) flare the 6mm pipe?
Can any one confirm if I need a brake pipe flaring tool to flare the ends of the 6mm gas pipe from the tank to the vapouriser? I am going to be fitting a second hand kit from a 535i E34 to my 325i E30 over the next few days and using new copper pipe. I have obtained the pipe and just ordered a set o...

Re: 320 whats this pipe do???
That is a vacuum hose from the inlet manifold to the Fuel Pressure Regulator. that said i dont know why it wont tick over with it connected, I would imagine its been pulled off to compensate for some other failed or misadjusted component, No doubt someone with much more knowledge will be along soon....
