Well lets at least give it a go :-) I undertsand the complexity of the weight advantage in the corners however my driving style seems to suit the heavy old 6 pot up front.... If you have a look at the vids the old girl doesnt do bad in the corners for a heavy old M20 up front. The M3 can be caught,t...

Re: What is the most BHP.....
just being a 2.7 gives it about 210 doesnt it? there would be scope to upgrade cams, chip etc after that i would guess? Not disputing your advice however I have yet, to come up against a 2.7 out of the box that makes 210bhp... i think ( My opinion) BMWs marketing/data is very optimistic. I have seen...

I have not used Pagid RS29s on the road in my E30 however I had them on my E46 M3 CSL with AP 6 pots and they were never noisey and did'nt ever require warming up... Just my 2Ps worth !

I use Pagid RS29s on my Race 325. I wont use anything else now. As an Endurance Pad they dont have the initial bite of some of the other types of pad however progressive braking is excellent and they dont fade. You can get RS29s for around £165 from Performance Braking. The other plus side is that m...

Redstar Tyres in Braintree, Essex are one of the Few MPSC dealers and hold ample stock. I made many a visit whilst I had my CSL. I managed to plough through at least seven sets of them in 18 Months. Excellent track tyre. Not bad in the wet either. The only issue with them is standing water and their...

recieved this reply elsewhere ........ You can't run a power steered rack as a manual, or rather you could but it's a very bad idea. Without going into a long winded explanation of how power steering works, as I'm off to the ring in about 30 minutes..., you'll be running on a very soft initial stif...

Re:
All that I did on mine was to remove the PAS Pump and associated pipes. Then cut the pipes on the rack and either cap them or crimp the ends closed. Its a lazy/bodget and scarper way of doing it, howver it works fine. Most of the guys racing in the series did excatly the same thing. Deffinately keep...

Re: Quick rack 'V' removing PS
Removing the PAS pump gives you a much better feel and makes the car easier to control/drive IMO. I raced with PAS on and off this year and I would 100% recommend removing it for track work. It is obviously heavier at low speeds and parking etc but is not undriveable.

Re: 2.7 Build
Hi m8 the 288/288 will idle poorly and may struggle come MOT emission test time due to the overlap the crank will take 6.5 K , but you're past peak HP and TQ then so no real issues I'm currntly building 2 2.7 engines for customers, one low comp for a turbo install and the other 10.53:1 CR for NA wi...

2.7 Build
Hi - looking to pick some Brains if possible ? Has anyone built a 2.7 with 288/288 Schrick Cam ? I have read that the 525e Crank doesnt like to rev much past 6200rpm ? I am looking to build a 2.7 with Schrick 288/288 camshaft, enlarged throttle body and different chip. Has anyone done this or anythi...
