Re: E39 530d sport
I would think glow plugs would not be needed when the car is warm even on a cold start if there not working in our climate it just causes a bit of roughness until it warms. It could be a fuel delivery pump issue you need to check the supply pressure should be around 3bar I think. Other than that po...

Re: Advice on turboing m50 engines
what are those ebay m50 turbo manifolds like? Anyone used one in a conversion etc?
Obviously at £120 a manifold I suppose your not expecting much, but you never know; maybe there are some successfull conversions out there that I don't know about.

M52 to M50 swap - ECU Difference
If I used a M50 engine in an E36 328i, what missions am I looking at when it comes down to wiring harness and ECU etc.
The E36 has got a good gearbox and clutch but the engine is blown so I am planning to use a M50 I have kicking about.
Any help would be great.

my aim in doing this was to make the engine temperature lower while running If I wanted to reduce engine temp whilst running, I would use heat wrap on the manifold and I would arrange for some extra ducting to the engine bay, increase the air flow so air can easily pass around the engine, by this I...

Re: The Most Infamously Common E30 Fault
Rust is probably the biggest factor, stopping me buying another E30 again.
They rust everywhere, windscreen, jacking point, sunroof, window seals, arches!

As most have said above avoid fanny paddles. They have an array of problems, BMW released SMG2 but its not really worth the risk. Better off buying a manual.

Re: My e28
My brother had a camo green 528i, but a black E28 looks much better in standard form. The 2.8's are a juicy lump... I think the M30 has better fuel consumption that this engine. I want to get one and do a M52 swap, I think that engine will be perfect for this tank of a car, but my g/f won't let me I...

Re: 99% decided on a M30 conversion. Tips/advice?
How clean is the E34? Accident damaged, rust issues?
As you will not need the E34 after you have pulled the engine out.. and if it is in good nick.. and the price is right.. I might be interested..
Let me know either way, I am on the hunt for a new project...

Re: b27 turbo on LPG?
It can be done, nothing is impossible. But why? Reliability will be shit if not done properly and sounds like a waste of time & money. Alot of engine components need lubrication from oil especially in older engines. By modifying that and then using LPG, it will indeed need some tinkering to get it r...
