There are two variants of the C2 2.5. Early ones based on the bosch LE injected 323i or ones based on the bosch motronic injected 325i. The later one is just a cam and exhaust change with a remap to the ECU and the earlier ones were a fully rebuilt engine to increase the cappacity. Both variants are circa 190 bhp.

The early C2 2.5 engine appears with a 323i 76.8mm crank, eta block, custom pistons, gas flowed head and 268º camshaft from the C1 2.3 for a total of 2554cc. It still runs the Bosch L-Jetronic engine management and is also fitted with an Alpina exhaust.
